It's a no-brainer that each year Bollywood star Salman Khan's films drop as a Ramzan treat. Despite getting mixed word of mouth, Race 3 managed to remain rock-steady at the ticket counters in all the region on the film following days.

Firstly, it is the earth-shattering start of "Race 3" that has kept him in news. "Worst" and even "w" will work".

To be sure, the action thriller also featuring Anil Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Bobby Deol, is riding entirely on Khan's shoulders.

Salman Khan's Eid releases are famous in the movie industry and most of his movies that have released on the festival have crossed the Rs 100 crore mark. Race 3 made the most on Sunday - Rs 39.16 crore. The film had the biggest opening weekend this year, leaving behind Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh-starrer Padmaavat, which recorded a collection of Rs 75 crore nett on its first weekend.

Race 3 was released in 4,200 screens across India during the Eid weekend and Salman Khan's huge following boosted the movie's overall business with over 70 percent occupancy on opening day, making Rs 29.

Adarsh added that Race 3 is the fourth Salman Khan-starrer to cross Rs 100 crore in three days after Bajrangi Bhaijaan (Rs 102.60 crore), Sultan (Rs 105.53 crore) and Tiger Zinda Hai (Rs 114.93 crore). If we are to go by the early estimates, Race 3 has collected over Rs 15 crore gross in other worldwide markets in the first weekend.
