Eoin Morgan's side will play five matches in the space of 15 days against the tourists, who are back in action for the first time since the calamitous tour of South Africa earlier this year.

It was their first game since cruelly being denied a place at next year's World Cup in England and the significance of the result, with so much to prove for the team, was not lost on Coetzer.

"It was great for Scotland as a country and as a cricketing nation".

Morgan, however, accepted they had been well below the standard needed to win in what was their first 50-over match of the British season. Langer was quickly installed as Darren Lehmann's replacement, while Paine has assumed responsibility nearly by default after his mature displays in South Africa, but there are numerous questions over the team they will field, not least because of the injury-enforced absence of their three senior bowlers, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins.

Australia: Tim Paine (capt, wk), Aaron Finch, Ashton Agar, Alex Carey, Travis Head, Nathan Lyon, Glenn Maxwell, Shaun Marsh, Michael Neser, Jhye Richardson, Kane Richardson, D'Arcy Short, Billy Stanlake, Marcus Stoinis, Andrew Tye.

Scotland's first win in global cricket over England came in their first match since they were cruelly denied a place at next year's World Cup after a poor umpiring decision and rain saw them miss out in their final qualifier against the West Indies in Harare in March. England would have been favourites had the quintet been available but are more overwhelmingly so now.

Italy prepares Spanish migrant convoy, clashes with France

It then made a seriously introspective observation : "what is a burger if not a meat pancake between two other pancakes". The company has rebranded itself " IHOb " to promote this line of burgers , however the name is not a permanent change.

Net Neutrality Repealed; Local Business Owner Explains What Will Happen Next
Black says he's nervous the repeal of net neutrality could curb the flow of internet traffic to his website and hurt business. After much delay and plenty of drama, the new FCC rules voted on in that contentious meeting have gone into full effect.

Talking on the defeat Bairstow said, "It's part and parcel of the game".

"It's a completely different challenge and a completely different team that we will be playing", Bairstow said.

It will also be Justin Langer's first assignment as coach of Australia.

"We didn't play anywhere near to our best", said Morgan. Even in this new era of toned-down sledging from Australia, it would be a surprise if England's stumble in Edinburgh wasn't given the occasional mention when the two sides meet.

"We need to continue what we have been doing and continue improving though".

Having taken out the world's top one-day global side with Sunday's historic win over the Auld Enemy, the Saltires were looking to complete a remarkable double by toppling the number-one ranked Twenty20 nation.
