Ronaldo became one of the best players in the world during a six-year spell at Old Trafford before sealing a then world-record move to Madrid in the summer of 2009.

The rumours over Ronaldo's exit from the Spanish club began after the 33-year-old hinted at a possible exit from Real moments after lifting their third straight Champions League trophy in Kiev, with a win over Liverpool. Meanwhile, there's never any shortage of faithful Messi followers who believe the Barcelona player should be the cover of every game ever.

But one of the Portuguese star's closest friends Marcelo made sure that there would be no animosity between the pair if Neymar joined Real Madrid.

Spanish outlet Diario Gol, as quoted by Sky Sports, is reporting that Real Madrid are keen on a deal to sign De Gea this summer as they look to bolster their squad ahead of next season.

"If Cristiano stays, does that mean that Neymar can't come?"

The reigning Ballon d'Or victor claimed he will be talking about his future in the days to come, but is yet to reaffirm the club's fans that he is staying in Spain for another year. "It is hard to be at a better place than Madrid, the best club in the world, but life is not just about glory".

The injury, which some feared may keep him out of the World Cup healed in time for him to fire past Croatia in a friendly at Anfield last weekend. The vocal Brazilian contingent included captain Thiago Silva, right-back Dani Alves and Marquinhos.

Per Goal's Chris Burton, speculation about the pair is rife, with Neymar linked to Real Madrid throughout his entire stay with Paris Saint-Germain, whom he joined from Barcelona past year. "Thanks to them I have won so much".
