David Spade is paying tribute to his late sister-in-law, Kate, who was found dead by an apparent suicide in her New York City apartment on Tuesday.

According to police, Spade hanged herself in her Park Avenue home and was pronounced dead on the scene.

"Her new brand "Frances Valentine" is one of my favorites".

Julia Curry, a spokeswoman for Spade's company, released a statement saying that "Kate will be dearly missed" and "our thoughts are with Andy and the entire Spade family at this time".
