Marouane Fellaini is far from the most popular player amongst most football fans but wouldn't be the worst free signing given Arsenal's transfer budget. The Atletico Madrid superstar is now hesitant to join Barcelona, who hold a long-standing interest in securing his services.

And speaking to Spanish radio station COPE, Griezmann said: "If I'm going to continue at Atletico, I don't know, we'll see". United have a good relationship with Dortmund, the two teams spoke, but Sokratis chose to go to Arsenal.

But if Messi is keen on a certain player coming in at Barcelona, you sense the club will push hard to make it happen. "When the season begins we want to win everything, including the League and Cup, they're also important for us". Specifically, Manchester United lack a player who could operate naturally on the right flank, which is where Griezmann could possible be coming in. Fellaini, who now gets £80,000-a-week at Manchester United, reportedly wants an improved contract from the suitors and Arsenal might very well hand him that.

The pursuit of Griezmann may well be with the future in mind, though; the Atletico man is 27, whereas Suarez and Messi will both be 31 by the time next season starts.

Atletico Madrid are already preparing Antoine Griezmann's new contract after the player made a decision to reject the offer from Barcelona, according to Cadena COPE radio station.

"I like how he plays and, in terms of if Barcelona will sign him or not, you have to talk to the managers, but I really like how he plays".
