No word on how today's news about Jared Leto's Joker movie will affect that project. Warner Bros. already announced that Margot Robbie's version of Harley Quinn would be getting her own movie with a "Birds of Prey" feature, and the next goal was setting up a film for Leto's Joker. It's going to be very interesting to see how Warner Bros. and DC Films are able to pull off such an ambitious move with one of the most iconic comic book villains in history. Leto first served as executive producer on his 2003 John David Chapman biopic, "Chapter 27", and most recently on Netflix's "The Outsider", in which he also starred. Other films on DC's upcoming slate include a Harley Quinn spinoff, Suicide Squad 2, Shazam!, Wonder Woman 2 and Aquaman, which is scheduled for release in November.

When Jared Leto's unusual portrayal of the Joker made an appearance in Warner Bros' Suicide Squad movie, I think it's safe to say that many people were left a little disappointed and underwhelmed after all the hype around the actor's performance.

While specific plot details remain unknown, reports suggest the studio is looking to expand the Suicide Squad world with a series of installments. In fact, what it would mean is that multiple actors would play multiple versions of the Joker without overlapping storylines, with Joaquin Phoenix reportedly in talks to play the origin version.

Apple Watch to get new Walkie-Talkie feature
Possibly as a result, watchOS 5 will expand the wearable's base features, including new health and fitness tracking capabilities. Along with iOS 12 , it's also announced watchOS 5, with a variety of new features for Apple Watch devices.

A Suicide Squad sequel is also in the post, due to go into production in 2019, and that's aside from the now in-development The Batman from Matt Reeves, helmsman of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and War for the Planet of the Apes.

The film is said to still be in the very early stages of development, with Leto and Warner Bros. yet to take the project out to potential writers.
