A new rape allegation has been made against accused rapist Harvey Weinstein as part of a civil lawsuit alleging that he had help covering up his alleged sexual misconduct with women.

In the new complaint filed in the federal court in NY, which also aims at its former studios Miramax and The Weinstein Company, as well as several of their leaders, the producer is accused of raping in 2011, a woman who had come to NY in hopes to sell him a marketing tool.

The suit comes after Weinstein entered a not guilty plea following a NY grand jury's indictment on Thursday that included two counts of rape and one criminal sexual act.

Then several months later, Weinstein sexually assaulted, battered, threatened and falsely imprisoned her in his Miramax hotel suite at the Cannes Film Festival.

In response, Weinstein's lawyer Benjamin Brafman, said in a statement that he was not surprised by the indictment.

The lawsuit names Harvey Weinstein, Robert Weinstein, attorney Ben Brafman, The Walt Disney Company, Miramax and others, including Weinstein Company board members.

Elizabeth Fegan, a partner at Hagens Berman, said "we are working to see a day of justice for the hundreds of women who were exploited for Weinstein´s sexual gratification and silenced by this ring of conspirators". Weinstein has denied ever engaging in nonconsensual sex, and a Weinstein lawyer said Friday he would move to dismiss the new suit.
