On May 31, Melania tweeted that she was doing great at the White House.

Melania Trump attended the G7 meeting in Italy past year.

Usually the first lady would accompany the President to Camp David, a Maryland retreat, but President Trump travelled solo on Friday afternoon.

Four days later, the White House announced that she had been hospitalized to treat a kidney condition described only as benign.

Her absence will mark 22 straight days without a public appearance by the first lady following a recent hospitalization. Then his on-again, off-again Singapore summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is on again and scheduled to take place June 12.

Leaders from the U.S., Canada, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Japan and the European Union are meeting Friday and Saturday for the G7 summit.

The absence of the intensely private first lady has prompted widespread speculation and conspiracy theories.

"I see the media is working overtime speculating where I am & what I'm doing", she wrote.

But, Huffington Post compared Melania's tweet with previous tweets from the President, and they pointed out that "working overtime" is one of the President's favorite phrases. However, Trump is apparently doing well, if her latest tweets are to be believed.

A spokesperson for the first lady confirmed the planned appearance to CNN. "They're probably just reminding her how to play well with others".

In addition to the Gold Star families event, the White House is set to hold a Ramadan dinner this week. "Rest assured, I'm here at the @WhiteHouse w my family, feeling great, & working hard on behalf of children & the American people!" wrote the First Lady.
