Amazon US Website Blocked In Australia

Australians who visit these sites will be forced back to Amazon Australia's website. this is due to changes to the Online GST which will require companies to pay 10 per cent of GST on all online purchases shipped to Australia from overseas companies.

Australian shoppers using Amazon's worldwide site will be unable to place orders, with the retail giant stopping shipping due to new GST rules. From 1 July Amazon will redirect Australian browsers away from its site in response to GST changes introduced by the government.
