They included one post that juxtaposed an image of Jarrett with an image of a "Planet of the Apes" actor - a comparison that led to her firing.

The company's response followed Barr's odd explanation of the early Tuesday Twitter rant that got her show cancelled as a bad Ambien-fueled mistake.

The short answer that I carefully crafted, and repeated on air, in print and on-line was: "I am not boycotting the Roseanne reboot because she is a Trump supporter".

"I think we have to turn it into a teaching moment", Jarrett said "I'm fine".

"She's known Trump for 30 years like I have", he said. "I've been up there [11] times already, and if I didn't get one, I'm not gonna get one".

"Or [that Barr] had made some agreement, at the beginning of the show, to maybe stay off Twitter", he said.

Trump is implying that he is the victim of a liberal media double standard.

So instead of always slowing the pace, James often attacked to catch the Celtics off-guard before they could set up their defence. But that would be Boston's last basket for more than five minutes while Cleveland went on a 15-2 run to put the game away.

Valerie Jarrett responds to Roseanne's racist Twitter rant: 'A teaching moment'
Sara Gilbert, exec producer and co-star of Roseanne was quick to dissociate herself from Roseanne's remarks. She also said she had been on Ambien , a medication used to treat insomnia, at the time.

When the show closed in October, Trump tweeted, "While not at all presidential I must point out that the Sloppy Michael Moore Show on Broadway was a TOTAL BOMB and was forced to close. She is a f-cking asshole, but so am I. No one ever stood up to her like I did".

It wasn't just regular Twitter users and the freaking dictionary that got involved. These included comments made by ABC's "The View" host Joy Behar about Christians and comedian Kathy Griffin's comments on the same television program as well as Disney-owned ESPN's former host Jemele Hill and ESPN's recent hiring of television personality Keith Olbermann.

Like Trump, Moore wrote in a Facebook post, Roseanne "went on a Wild White Racist tear during the Obama years". Moore did not immediately respond to a request for comment. "I made a mistake I wish I hadn't but... don't defend it please". In 2013, she tweeted a similar attack about Susan Rice, the first African-American to represent the USA at the UN.

"It was 2 in the morning and I was Ambien tweeting - it was memorial day too - i went 2 far & do not want it defended - it was egregious Indefensible", Barr wrote in a since-deleted tweet.

"'I begged4 ppls jobs", Barr said in the latest of a storm of tweets this afternoon and early evening. "I will examine all of my options carefully and get back to U".

News contributors during the time of the show's revival premiere leading up to the present have been attributing Roseanne's success as being the voice of the working class who are not heard by Washington. "Roseanne's speech wasn't in the control of ABC", said F. Jay Dougherty, a professor who specializes in entertainment and media law at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles.
