United are yet to trigger his £17.5 million...

Dalot has a release clause of €20m (£17.5m) but it is understood this is yet to be triggered by United for a player who made his debut last season, finishing with seven appearances, six of which were in Porto's triumphant domestic campaign.

He is a natural right-back but played as a left-back on that night, meaning he would add versatility to Mourinho's squad.

Seems like a poor guy can't write scout reports for a few hours without his mentions and DMs being exploded into an insane mess of Diogo Dalot questions.

Matteo Darmian is set for a move back to Italy and it looks like United have found the man they want to replace him as the Telegraph claim they are on the verge of signing Porto defender Dalot.

Jose Mourinho is set to sign Porto's right-back to give Antonio Valencia some competition in that position next season.

FC Porto though, have been doing all they can to retain Diogo Dalot, despite their urgent need for revenue in order to comply with FFP regulations.

Personal terms have been agreed in principle and Dalot should become a United player within days.

Dalot has been capped by Portugal at every age group from U15 to U21 level and made his first team debut for Porto in a 6-0 away win over Lusitano G.C in October of past year.
