Coming to the specifications, the HTC U12+ will feature Liquid Surface design, which is present in company's latest flagship devices.

The leaks come from reputed leaker Evan Blass who has also shared the specification sheet of the smartphone along with an image that reveals the complete design of the handset. Blass posted renders of the device, fully revealing its design, which appears to be somewhat semitransparent, as you can see some internal hardware through the back. It will reportedly feature a 12-megapixel sensor with wide-angle lens, and a 16-megapixel secondary sensor with a telephoto lens for 2X zoom and bokeh mode. The leaked specs sheet also says that the phone is able to offer 23.8 hours of talk time on 3G/4G network. To the front is an 8MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture. Other features like Edge Sense 2 with "new pressure-sensitive buttons and feedback experience" is expected. The HTC U12+ can also record 4K resolution videos at 60fps with 360-degree audio recording.

Slightly shorter and narrower but thicker than the U11+, the HTC U12+ retains its predecessor's 6-inch Quad HD+ Super LCD 6 panel with a 2:1 aspect ratio, also weighing a somewhat bulky 188 grams. The phone will run Android 8.0 Oreo with HTC Sense UI, and will be upgradeable to Android P in the future. Powering the smartphone will be a 3500 mAh battery which will charge via a USB C port.

Connectivity wise, it supports a wide range of 4G LTE bands in both FDD and LTE as well as Bluetooth 5.0, 802.11ac 5GHz WiFi and NFC.
