Former Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel has been named as the new Paris Saint Germain manager on a two-year deal.

The biggest challenge for Tuchel, 44, will be delivering success in the UEFA Champions League, something which evaded Emery as PSG crashed out in devastating fashion to Barcelona in 2016/17 and then again at the hands of Real Madrid this season. "I can't wait to work with all these great players, who are all among the very best on the planet", declared the man of the hour upon putting pen to paper on Monday.

Although Neymar's future at PSG remains uncertain despite only completing his world-record move from Barca last summer, the future now looks steadier for PSG.

Both Marcelo and Neymar were named in Brazilian manager Tite's 23-man squad for the World Cup this summer, but the left-back has revealed that talk in Russian Federation will be exclusively fixed on the tournament and not on club football.

"Paris St Germain has enormous potential and it is by so far the most exciting proposition in football".

David Tepper To Buy Carolina Panthers
Lawyers were still going through the final points of the sale yesterday in Charlotte, and no speed bumps are expected in the deal. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports new Panthers owner David Tepper is "committed to keeping the team in Charlotte".

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi said he is "2,000 per cent sure" that Neymar will not leave the club, however, and Marquinhos likewise expects his compatriot to stay.

"His ambitious personality, his assertive taste for forward-moving play and his strength of character are part of the style we have always heard at Paris St-Germain".

"So many things have been positive, and I also take the negative things as it helps in the growing process of the club, but also mine".

His first season saw Dortmund finish runners-up to Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga and the German Cup, while losing to Klopp's Liverpool in the Europa League quarter-finals.

Under his leadership in the current campaign, the team won the national championship, the French Cup and French League Cup. The Ligue 1 title they secured with a 7-1 thrashing of their closest rival, Monaco, back in April was their fifth in seven seasons since the club was bought by Oryx Qatar Sports Investments.
