On the way, when driving an orange cargo Kamaz, Putin held a lively dialogue with the heads of the construction work that lasted 816 days, to connect Crimea with the Russian region of Krasnodar, with a bridge of 19 kilometers on the Strait of Kerch, the most extensive of Russia and Europe.

This is said in a statement made by the European External Action Service on Tuesday. Ukraine and European countries will be able to use the bridge for profitable transit to Asia, Senator Sergei Tsekov of the Republic of Crimea said. The bridge across the Kerch Strait consists of parallel road and railway sections.

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko called the elections in occupied Crimea is a gross violation of worldwide law and called for increased sanctions pressure on the Kremlin.

Ukraine has condemned the project, which was personally championed by Putin, saying construction has damaged the environment and that larger ships will be unable to get through to its ports on the Azov Sea.

Fiery cleric Sadr taps anger over Iran to lead Iraq poll
President Donald Trump to end the Iran Nuclear deal just days before the Iraqi elections would only stoke the fire. But the defeat of Islamic State and Abadi's campaign to eradicate Iraq's rampant corruption improved his standing.

British Foreign Office minister Alan Duncan said it was "a further example of Russia's reckless behaviour".

According to the senator, Russian Federation has showed itself as a highly developed technological country having built the bridge. It was originally expected to open in December but was finished ahead of schedule.

The annexation of the peninsula in 2014 was condemned by Kiev and the West as an illegal land grab but applauded in Russian Federation. For motorists, vehicle traffic on the bridge will be opened on May 16 at 05:30 MSK. The Kremlin said it would be opened to cars on Wednesday and the rail section was due to be completed at the end of 2019.

Earlier media reported that one of the first who will pass through the Crimean bridge, will be the Night wolves bikers, close to the Kremlin. A connecting highway from Kerch to the regional capital of Simferopol is set for completion in 2020.
