Tulsa police Officer Jeanne MacKenzie told the newspaper when authorities arrived they found the 11-year-old "was stabbed so many times that officers and EMSA on the scene couldn't even count them".

Police in Tulsa, Oklahoma, say 7-year-old Hafza Hailey is in serious danger after her mother stabbed her 11-year-old sister multiple times and set her house on fire.

ABC News reports that police are searching for Hafza Hailey, 7, and her mother Taheerah Ahmad, 39, after the mother is believed to have fled with her youngest child from their north Tulsa home on Monday night. The suspect is believed to be driving a 2011 Ford Escape with Oklahoma tag 778-MNX, or a 2005 Black Lexus RX300 with used dealer paper tag UD-4976.

"The story that we received was that the 7-year-old helped the 9-year-old escape the residence", a police spokesperson told reporters Monday.

Hafza is described as a black female with puffy hair in a ponytail and painted gold bracelets on her wrists. A 9-year-old sibling managed to escape and run to a neighbor's house.

According to police, the family have listed several places where Ahmad and her daughter may be, ranging from Bixby to Edmond.
