UFC 224: Lyoto Machida Reminds Folks & Michael Bisping His Kicks "Retire People"

At last June's UFC 212, Belfort temporarily quieted his critics by earning a unanimous decision win over former contender Nate Marquardt for his first victory since defeating Henderson in 2015.

Machida, who is now 24-8 in MMA, recreated his famous KO to Randy Couture in the Brazilian capital, while it was a familiar sight for Belfort, who was memorably on the receiving end of a brutal front kick from Anderson Silva many moons ago at UFC 126 in 2011. "I want to fight a few more times this year".

If this proves to be Belfort's last fight, it marks the end of a long, brilliant career.

"I'm sending my love to my wife and my kids".

Pole has added importance after Ferrari run - Hamilton
Hamilton is now standing at the top spot in the drivers' championship, maintaining a lead of just four points over Vettel. He finished down in fourth, however, almost half a second off pole and three tenths behind team-mate Vettel.

'Paris Knife Attacker Was On Extremist Watchlist'
When police officers arrived minutes later, he threatened them and was shot dead, according to police union official Yvan Assioma. Interior Minister Gerard Collomb, on Twitter , hailed the "cool and quick reaction of the police who neutralised the attacker".

Zidane plays down Ronaldo injury in Barcelona game
Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane spoke to reporters Tuesday about Cristiano Ronaldo's ankle injury. It is football , you can't control it...he got injured but is doing well, walking as normal.

Elsewhere on the card, Amanda Nunes was an easy victor over Raquel Pennington in the Women's Bantamweight Championship fight, whilst Kelvin Gadstelum escaped with a controversial split decision over Jacare Souza, also in the men's middleweight division. Lyoto used a front kick to try to feel out his range a bit while Vitor Belfort looked as if he wanted to counterstrike, but really didn't do anything, except throw three combos that didn't land.

Mackenzie Dern won against Amanda Cooper but the real drama had come at the weigh in, where Dern missed the 116lbs straweight limit for a non-title fight by a massive half a stone!

Mackenzie Dern (right, delivering a high kick at Ashley Yoder at UFC 222 in Las Vegas in March) is a 25-year-old, multi-time Brazilian jiu jitsu world champion with a ideal 6-0 record. He lost the bout via a blistering front-kick knockout, but at least he got to go out in front of his hometown fans and against a man for whom he has a lot of respect. All I need is one strike to end the fight.

UFC 224 is a solid pay-per-view fight card with exciting potential. I would like to fight Michael Bisping.
