Griezmann has been heavily linked with a move to the Nou Camp, with speculation in Spain that a €100million (£88million) switch will be completed this summer. However, the Spanish champions' president stressed that he did not have lunch and also urged not to speculate after his comments suggested that he met Griezmann's agent in October 2017.

"We are analyzing the season and we will see what we will do with ins and outs", Bartomeu told radio station RAC1.

"Griezmann is a great player, there is no doubt about that, but we have to be careful and respectful when we're talking about players that don't play for us", he told reporters, via Sport.

"We talk with [Atleti president Enrique] Cerezo about many topics". We all know how good [Griezmann] is as a player. "If he goes to Madrid, we'll play against him".

"But we have to be very cautious about saying anything about a player that is not ours and making sure we respect our rivals", he added.
