Underwood emerged from the promise of her 2005 "American Idol" win to become a true multi-format, multimedia superstar, spanning achievements in music, television and film.

"My face has been healing pretty nicely as well", she added.

As previously reported, the seven-time Grammy Award victor released the worldwide exclusive look at her new music video for the lead single and title track from her forthcoming album, "Cry Pretty", on last night's episode of "American Idol". Underwood performed her new song on stage at the ACM Awards on April 15, 2018.

In the meantime, Gabby Barrett, Cade Foehner, Caleb Lee Hutchinson, Maddie Poppe and Michael J. Woodward are headed to Nashville, Tennessee, where they'll have a special mentoring session with the "Dirty Laundry" singer before putting their own spins on songs from her catalogue.

In December Underwood revealed in a blog post to her fan club that she'd injured her wrist and severely cut her face during a fall outside her home, requiring surgery and "between 40 and 50 stitches" on her face.

From Underwood's description, she sounded like she was confronting what could certainly be a traumatic event for an entertainer whose personal appearance is part of her brand. A seven-time Grammy Award victor, she has sold over 64 million records worldwide and recorded 26 No. 1 singles, 13 of which she co-wrote, with a catalog of songs that have been streamed more than 2.6 billion times worldwide.

Perhaps she had really good surgeons, or the injuries weren't as disfiguring as she imagined. Over the next few months, she wouldn't bare her full face to cameras.

Underwood is also set to perform her newest single, "Cry Pretty".

In the video, she goes for high production value.
