Meanwhile, the Galaxy X is rumored to flaunt no less than three 3.5-inch OLED displays, which is capable to fold out creating a massive (almost tablet-sized) smartphone.

Since the company had used the MWC 2018 platform to debut the Galaxy S9, initial rumors have claimed that the Galaxy S10 - the 10 anniversary Galaxy S series smartphones may get official at MWC 2019. Probably both the devices will launch either at CES or MWC. This is the same device which Samsung reportedly showcased to private partners at this year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Experts say that the release of the Galaxy S9 in the first quarter, along with the commensurate marketing efforts and events held throughout China, in addition to a greater number of Samsung experience halls in major cities such as Guangzhou helped spur the small growth in market share.

Samsung is set to launch four new smartphones under its Galaxy J series on May 21. This is also the first that we've heard about what The Bell's report calls "Samsung Galaxy S10".

Although still not a big player, Samsung's performance slightly overperformed the same research company's projections announced earlier in the year that expected Samsung to have only a 0.8 percent market share in the same period. A recent report by ET News claims that Samsung will manufacture panels in September and start manufacturing the phone in November, followed by a launch in December or early November.

It's expected that Samsung will launch its popular Galaxy J7 (2018) and the Galaxy J5 (2018) models with the new Infinity Display.

As for areas, display panels to the foldable handset have been supposedly procured from November with a dispatch potential of about 300,000 to 500,000 a month. For now, the upcoming Galaxy Note series is making headlines.
