The Nokia 7 Plus was launched globally during the Mobile World Congress event in late February. That is set to change soon as HMD Global has confirmed the phone's second SIM too will be made VoLTE compliant soon.

Meet the Nokia 7 Plus. The confirmation comes directly from Juho Sarvikas who's the Chief product officer of HMD Global. Now, the tweet fails to mention any specific release dates, but considering last year's model went on sale in June, it seems likely that this year's variant could see a similar release date, with an announcement possibly happening towards the end of May. But then, the smartphone was criticised for one thing - the lack of VoLTE support in second SIM slot.

The smartphone features a 6-inch IPS LCD with 18:9 ratio display of 1080 x 2160 pixels, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The phone offers 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of storage. For photography, there is a 13-megapixel rear camera, and an 8-megapixel front camera.

Samsung's foldable Galaxy X to launch at MWC 2019
On a serious note, Samsung has apparently asked partners to start the supply of parts for the Galaxy X by November this year. It is being speculated that Samsung will manufacture the Galaxy X in limited numbers at first so it can gauge the demand.

The Nokia 6 and Nokia 7 Plus are available for purchase in the UAE now at AED 899 and AED 1,399 respective. While the device came with Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box, it recently received the Android 8.1 Oreo update.

There is indeed a screen cutout at the top, as well as a relatively small "chin" housing the Finnish brand's logo, while the fingerprint reader is mounted on the back, just below a dual camera arrangement with no Zeiss inscription in sight. Amazon India holds exclusive rights to sell the handset online while it can be picked up from Nokia 7 Plus users Sangeetha, Poorvika, Big C, Croma, and Reliance offline retail stores.
