The primary to select one of the 33 aspirants for the APC gubernatorial ticket was suspended after hoodlums disrupted the voting process over allegation that it was being manipulated by agents of one of the aspirants.

The Governorship Campaign Organisation of the Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has berated security agents for the inconclusive governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State last Saturday.

A day to the primary, an interest group, Ekiti Coalition for Dynamic Change, (ECDC), had alleged that supporters of two aspirants, Chief Segun Oni and Senator Babafemi Ojudu, planned to unleash terror at the primary.

Delegates from five of the 16 local governments, statutory delegates and members of the State Executive Council had cast their votes before the exercise was disrupted.

Security agencies had a hectic time trying to bring the situation under control, but the damage had been done.

They overturned the tables on which the ballot boxes were placed before the full glare of security men, delegates and other observers. The battle appears to be between Fayemi and 32 aspirants who had tried to stop the minister from contesting. "Even, Fayemi has been bragging around that he is friend to Alhaji Tanko Al -Makura, so we are disappointed that this could happen", he said.

Trouble started at about 5.30 pm when some agents raised observations about how the process was being allegedly compromised, accusing some security agents of dictating to delegates who they should vote for.

Iraqi air force strikes Daesh militants in eastern Syria
A week ago, Abadi told the media that Iraq would carry out air strikes against IS outside the country's own borders. Askari also said Iraq hosts a centre that co-ordinates military activity with Iran, Russia and Syria "against IS".

He said: "The agents of other aspirants complained when aged delegates and delegates with disability were asking for the assistance of Fayemi's agent".

So, for now we have made a decision to suspend the primary election until we receive further directive from the national secretariat of our party.

Signs of premeditated crisis began as soon as the agents were called to the voting arena.

She said they agreed as follows: "The quality of the ballot paper was not good and we condemn that. But this must come through a free, fair and credible process", he said.

He denied a gang up against Fayemi, saying it was presumptuous for anybody to assume that the former governor was leading.

He said, "Those who have penchant for cheating and fraud structured the primary to favour a particular aspirant".

The leadership of the party had delegated Tanko Al-Makura, to chair the committee which organised Saturday's primary.
