A WhatsApp Message Is Causing Android Phones To Temporarily Freeze

This one read, "If you touch the black point then your whatsapp will hang", followed by the second line with a "black dot" and the words "t-touch-here". It's not as dire as needing to uninstall reinstall but it is a hassle if you'll have to restart both the app and your phone, especially if you need to send important messages to contacts.

So, we all know that there is back circle on Whatsapp that has been circulating in different WhatsApp group and personal messages and you must be wondering what is it. This is not a hoax as numerous WhatsApp users on Android are reporting that their app is crashing after they tap on the black dot.

WhatsApp application is freezing but the black dot is not the actual culprit here, there is a small hidden trick in this message. These messages are not only crashing Whatsapp but also the smartphone.

Recently, a news surfaced online suggesting that a Telugu text bomb was crashing the iMessage app on iPhones.

By looking at the messages for the first time it will look like any other normal message and not a spam. The message also consists of a black icon, clicking on which will freeze the app or make it unresponsive.

Reportedly, these WhatsApp messages are nothing but prank and there seem to be nothing malicious about them. The truth is that the text "do not touch the black circle" on WhatsApp hides thousands of characters inside WhatsApp which the application is not able to process them causing an immediate blockage and termination of WhatsApp. This message is only affecting the Android smartphones, iOS is unaffected. Mark Zuckerberg announced that WhatsApp will soon get the updates related group video calling along with the support to third-party support stickers.
