Trump has frequently exhibited skepticism about climate change, at times referring to it as a "hoax".

"If we reach the construction phase, the plan is to build Trumpmore to match the size of the presidents on Mount Rushmore".

Dubbed "Project Trumpmore", the group, Melting Ice, plans the 115-foot high, 65-foot wide carving for an iceberg somewhere in the arctic.

A non-profit climate group in Finland, Melting Ice, is reportedly raising half a million dollars to carve 115 foot-tall ice sculpture of Trump's face into an arctic iceberg.

'We want to build the monument for all of us, so we can see how long the sculpture lasts before melting.

Trump sparked fury when he took the U.S out of the Paris Agreement last August, which is meant to reduce emissions and tackling climate change.

"People don't follow politicians, politicians follow people", the group says.

In addition, when Trump took office, he appointed Scott Pruitt as the Environmental Protection Agency's administrator, who rejects the scientific consensus on global warming.

In the past several weeks, Pruitt has been mired in ethical scandals for spending public funds on lavish travel, private bodyguards, souped up government limousines, cosseting lobbyists and installing a soundproof phone booth in his office.

The world has already warmed about 1.1 degrees Celsius (2 degrees Fahrenheit) since the Industrial Revolution. The overwhelming majority of scientists say the burning of coal, oil and gas is causing the Earth's climate to change because of heat-trapping gases.

To document how long it will take for Trump's bust to melt, Melting Ice stated that they will install a camera to the site of the sculpture to live stream its fate.
