The court has also said that the "One State One Vote" policy suggested by the Lodha committee should be reconsidered and changed aptly. After the formation of Jharkhand in 2000, a dispute had arisen in the cricket administration of Bihar and two separate cricket associations were formed for the two states.

"We are on the principle of inclusivity and not on the principle of exclusivity", the CJI said insisting that Northeastern states can not be denied any voting right merely because they do not produce quality cricketers.
