'80s gaming rockstar Billy Mitchell has recorded a short statement regarding the controversies of recent days, whereby his high score records on a selection of games were removed from Twin Galaxies, under suspicion of falsifying multiple Donkey Kong runs. After concluding its investigation, also utilizing additional information gleaned from a third-party source which Mitchell had cooperated with, Twin Galaxies responded by stripping Mitchell of his scores and titles.

Mitchell stayed quiet following the initial news but released a statement to Old School Gamer Magazine over the weekend at the Midwest Gaming Classic. They then forwarded the decision to the Guinness World Records committee so they could follow suit.

Mitchell's score was disqualified as Twin Galaxies was not able to find sufficient evidence proving that he had not used an emulator to achieve the milestone score, as opposed to a real Donkey Kong arcade cabinet. The registry was founded by Walter Day in1982 and has always been recognized as a reputable source of verified high scores by the gaming community and by the Guinness Book of World Records.

"Now, there is a true professional due diligence being done to investigate things that happened as far as 35 years ago", he stated. Mitchell, wearing the tie that will forever make him a hero in my eyes, speaks of an investigation underway to clear his name and restore his legacy as one of the highest scoring arcade gamers of all time.

Kendrick Lamar won a Pulitzer for 'DAMN.' and fans are shook
Since (at least) the release of good kid, m.A.A.d. city in 2012, the singularity of Kendrick Lamar has been plainly evident. California rapper Kendrick Lamar won the Pulitzer Prize for music on Monday for his album " DAMN .", organizers announced.

Over the weekend, Mitchell addressed the ruling in a video posted to YouTube. "I wish I had it in my hands right now".

He goes on to say that it has taken a considerable amount of time to gather witnesses and documents, but that nothing will be withheld. We've been at this since 1982, and it's not gonna stop now.

We wait with bated breath.
