Sterling K. Brown costars as Waikiki, a robber who shows up at Hotel Artemis injured alongside his crew one night, following what was otherwise a successful job.

Video: We've been hearing about Iron Man 3 screenwriter Drew Pearce's directorial debut for a while now, but we finally have a look at the dystopian future of Hotel Artemis in action - and its pretty incredible cast of criminals. The two time Oscar-winner Foster has spent most of her time behind the camera in the five years since her last feature film starring role, in Neill Blomkamp's 2013 sci-fi feature Elysium.

Hotel Artemis is set in Los Angeles in 2028 and follows a nurse (Foster) who runs a members-only style, underground hospital for Los Angeles' most sinister criminals, and finds out that one of her patients is there to kill one of the other patients. Brown, Jeff Goldblum, Dave Bautista, Sofia Boutella, Brian Tyree Henry, Charlie Day, Zachary Quinto and Jenny Slate are among the stars in Drew Pearce's directorial debut.

The movie is written and directed by Steven Pearce. You can watch the first trailer for Hotel Artemis in the space above.

Venezuelan woman sexually assaulted, robbed
Sexual assaults often go widely unreported, as victims don't wish to become part of a police investigation or court proceedings. Police are investigating an incident in which a 22-year-old Venezuelan woman was sexually assaulted on Saturday night.

It turns out that they made off with a pretty valuable object (a pen that just happens to hold $18 million worth of jewels), and now, a criminal mastermind (played by Jeff Goldblum) wants to take it off their hands.

The first trailer for star-studded thriller Hotel Artemis was released on Monday.

Hotel Artemis is out in theaters June 8.
