In the decision to cut Dez Bryant on Friday, the Cowboys lost one of the greatest receivers in franchise history. That's what those guys get paid to do. I won't put no names out, but they know, and I want them to know on this air I know. "It motivates me. All it does is motivate me and put this in perspective". What he meant to me as a person, what he meant to me as a brother.

"Dez is gonna be a hard guy to replace", Prescott said. At this point, we've got to figure that out with the guys we've got I'm sure we'll go after guys in the draft or free agency.

Prescott said it was tough to see Bryant released, saying "it's sad news".

The Cowboys have already have added free-agent receivers Allen Hurns and Deonte Thompson to the roster this offseason, and the team freed up $8.5 million in salary cap space by cutting Bryant.

"The Giants got a helluva defense, they're going to pay OBJ [Odell Beckham Jr.], so [he's] coming back", Bryant told CBS Sports' Mike Fisher.

Online Purchase Sales Tax Fight Heads to SCOTUS

"That further lets me believe what I thought a long time ago". When it's five to six guys at a table against one guy, you've got to do it. His 12.1 yards per reception was the lowest of his career.

Not to mention, one of the main reasons why Dallas was willing to move on from Bryant was due to his numbers declining over the last couple of seasons, and all of that money being spent was going to complete to waste.

Bryant was a touchdown machine in the first half of his career with the Cowboys, hauling in 41 scoring passes in a three-season span, capped by a career-high 16 in 2014.

The 29-year-old had two years remaining on a five-year, $70 million deal. Anquan Boldin wasn't quite as good over his own three seasons with the Ravens (2010-2012), but he topped 60 receptions twice and averaged 882 yards per season.
