The Reds face Roma in the Champions League semi-finals in two weeks' time, but the showing of solidarity was enough for one Liverpool fan to even suggest they would be happy to see the Italians win.

Spurs needed somebody to step up and make something happen.

Kane has targeted overhauling Mohamed Salah as the Premier League's top scorer, although the Liverpool forward scored his 30th league goal of the season in Saturday's 3-0 win over Bournemouth, moving him five clear of Kane, who was frustrated in Spurs 3-1 defeat to Manchester City.

"We are very happy, we wanted to win the league but it has been a hard season, there has been a lot of improvements in other teams".

Sadio Mane opened the scoring in the first half before the Egypt global netted his 30th goal in the Premier League with a superb header over Asmir Begovic. "I don't care about the rest". I respect the people that disagree with Harry, who do not agree with Harry, with the people who were surprised about him claiming it was his goal or not.

Kane has been the subject of much talk over the past week after claiming Tottenham's second goal against Stoke City last weekend.

Kane now trails Salah, who hit the 30-mark on Saturday, by five goals. "I think he is going to learn a lot from this you know".

'He's a big player, so hopefully he can keep scoring for us.

"It's also very close, it's just seven goals, but let's see", Salah said.

"After taking the player's testimony into account and reviewing the match footage, a three-person panel agreed that the final touch on the ball belonged to Kane", a statement released by the Premier League read.

Speaking ahead of Tottenham's clash with champions-elect Manchester City on Saturday, Pochettino said: "Of course, he never thought that this situation would escalate, when he was so certain that he touched the ball".
