Newborn's Body Flushed Down Toilet At Kerala Clinic, Parents Missing

Shocked plumbers tried to remove the baby but failed as the placenta thread was still stuck to the baby and caught in the dirt.

A shocking incident has come to light, where a body of two-day-old girl child was recovered from the toilet of a house in Kerala.

According to the horrified servicemen, they were left traumatised after finding the baby girl's tiny head was the cause of the blockage. The police are checking the records of all patients who visited the clinic around the time of birth. However, another possibility is that since the placenta was still attached, it is highly possible that the mother had delivered the baby inside the washroom.

"There wasn't much of a foul smell emanating from the toilet", a sub-inspector of the Nattukal Police Station told The NewsMinute.

As per police, the parents of the newborn brought the girl to the clinic on the pretext of consultation and flushed the baby down in the down.

'But the baby's placenta was intact and there was blood inside the commode.

Based on the complaint received from Abdul Rahman, the local police have registered a case of unnatural death and probe is underway. The doctor's house is situated around 100 meters away from the road. Media reports said the doctor, Dr Abdul Rehman, witnessed a clogged toilet in his clinic, after which he called a plumber to clear the jam.

In another incident earlier this year, the body of a newborn baby was found wrapped in a plastic bag hidden inside an aeroplane's toilet.
