Shocked plumbers tried to remove the baby but failed as the placenta thread was still stuck to the baby and caught in the dirt.

A shocking incident has come to light, where a body of two-day-old girl child was recovered from the toilet of a house in Kerala.

According to the horrified servicemen, they were left traumatised after finding the baby girl's tiny head was the cause of the blockage. The police are checking the records of all patients who visited the clinic around the time of birth. However, another possibility is that since the placenta was still attached, it is highly possible that the mother had delivered the baby inside the washroom.

"There wasn't much of a foul smell emanating from the toilet", a sub-inspector of the Nattukal Police Station told The NewsMinute.
