A fire Saturday afternoon in Virginia left one house heavily damaged.

Crews were called to the home on Hartzell Road after neighbors and motorists passing by noticed flames coming from the living room, according to the police report.

Crews were told by the caller that the back of the house was on fire, according to Fire Capt. Dan Cooley.

Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire showing throughout the right-side of the split-level, wood-frame house.
