Arsenal made hard work of CSKA Moscow in the second leg of their quarter-final tie, but eventually found their way into the last four of the Europa League with a 6-3 aggregate scoreline against the Russians.

Salzburg forced Lazio into a second-half capitulation as the Italians crashed out in the Europa League quarter-finals after losing 4-1 but Olympique de Marseille staged a thrilling fightback to see off visitors Leipzig 5-2 on Thursday.

Spanish side Atletico Madrid booked their place in the semi-finals following a 2-1 aggregate victory over Sporting Lisbon.

Arsenal and Marseille will be at home in the first legs, which will be played on 26 April, with the returns scheduled for 3 May.

Arsene Wenger's were 2-1 down heading into injury-time meaning CSKA still needed two more goals.

The north London club are pinning their hopes on winning the Europa League to qualify for next season's Champions League.
