Commonwealth Games: England men & women reach rugby sevens semis

The Blitzboks have yet to be tested at the Commonwealth Games after thrashing Papua New Guinea 52-0 in their second group match on Australia's Gold Coast on Saturday.

The Kiwis went behind early on the Gold Coast, falling to a Daniel Bibby try, but never appeared likely to lose after Regan Ware levelled scores.

John Porch regathered his own second half kick to set up Sam Myers for Australia's third try and a 14-point led.

However it wasn't enough for the English with the full-time whistle sounding soon after.

The All Blacks Sevens will play for a Commonwealth Games gold medal after dismantling England 17-12 in Sunday's semi-final.

The men will face either defending Games champions South Africa or Olympic champions Fiji in the final, which starts at 5pm NZ time.

Captain Sarah Goss opened the scoring for the Black Ferns with a well taken outside break.

Michaela Blyde scored next and Tyler Nathan-Wong nailed the drop kick conversion to give New Zealand a 12-5 lead at half-time.

Breach played for Chichester and Pulborough as a youngster and is now with Harlequins, and is a full England senior XV-a-side worldwide.

New Zealand and England are currently playing their semifinal now at Robina Stadium.

Vengeance will be on agenda for the Black Ferns after they were forced to settle for silver in Rio.
