Nokia 3 was launched with stock Android 7 Nougat. Now it is being reported that the company has rolled out the stable Android Oreo update for its entry-segment Nokia 3. The update will roll out OTA (over the air), but as per usual, it may take a few days to get to Nokia 3 units around the world. After choosing the "System", a user will be able to see the "About Phone" tab, select the "About Phone" tab and then the System update to download the latest Android version Android 8 Oreo. The new update comes with Android Instant Apps which declutter your already pure Android experience while helping the Nokia 3's battery last even longer by limiting background app use. The settings menu is also changed and the update also combines the security patch for the month of April. With Google zero touch enrolment, a feature first introduced in Android Oreo, organisations can deploy a Nokia smartphone with enterprise mobility management settings pre-configured.

HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, lauds the device as "a breakthrough in accessible technology, delivering smartphone essentials, refreshingly familiar design and the reassuring quality of a Nokia". Both the smartphones run Android 8.0 Oreo operating system out-of-the-box.

Android Oreo also claims to boost the enterprise credentials of smartphones by streamlining the deployment of devices, creating personal and professional profiles, and improving security. Another part of the Changelog is the Bluetooth battery percentages and improved navigation buttons for saving the battery.
