Britney Spears stars in her first ever high-fashion ad campaign

Britney Spears and her abs have never looked better - well, since her Slave 4 U days, anyway - as she appeared as the new face of Kenzo this week.

"I did lots of denim when I was a kid, and still do-it's really versatile and fun, and just goes with everything".

In the images-which were shot by famed photographer Peter Lindbergh-Britney is featured wearing relatively casual attire, including crop tops and baseball caps.

Spears, whose Las Vegas "Pieces of Me" show residency brought in more than $137 million, has proved to be extremely successful in the past four years since the opening of her Vegas residency.

However, creative director Carol Lim says she the songstress has been nothing but a professional.

On Monday, the fashion house all but confirmed the rumors that the "Toxic" singer would be the face of the brand when it revealed a brief video of the sultry singer strutting her stuff.

Back in 2001, at the American Music Awards, Spears successfully cursed the credibility of double denim by wearing a matching eyesore ensemble with her then beau Justin Timberlake. The skirt, bra, and long coat also have the bamboo tiger print mixed into the vibrant design. "We were out there and I had really promiscuous clothes on, which felt odd, but, of course, on film it turned out to be really cool".

When Spears is home with her boys, Sean and Jayden, she is "in a nightgown most of the time".

"It's tricky because as a mother, you don't take as much risk with your style", the mom-of-two added.

But to the pop star, it's just a mere memory, one she refers to casually in discussions about her absolute adoration for all things denim.
