Twitch Prime subscribers will get free monthly games, starting this week

Just recently, fans were presented with a list of games to vote on as part of the Twitch Prime Indie Amplifier promotion, with the victor being released for free through Twitch Prime this week.

Twitch has announced that Twitch Prime members (that is, Amazon Prime members who've linked their Twitch accounts) will now receive free games every month as part of their subscription, starting Thursday, March 15th. Oxenfree is another acclaimed game that focuses on narrative with handsome visuals and a dark story.

With Twitch Prime you also get ad-free viewing across Twitch channels, an included Twitch channel subscription to subscribe to any of the partner channels, member access to game content, with downloadable content on offer each month for no extra cost. The first batch of games, which subscribers can download until March 31, includes Superhot, Oxenfree, Mr. Shifty, Shadow Tactics, and the Dungeons & Dragons game Tales from Candlekeep: Tomb of Annihilation.

It's been more than a year since Amazon first tapped into Twitch's customer base with perks to improve their experience.

As with previous freebies, the games offered in this manner will be yours to keep permanently, though you'll presumably need to use the Twitch desktop app in order to grab them.
