Soon after the Speaker took up the Question Hour discussions, members from various parties, including the TRS, trooped into the Well of the House raising slogans "we want justice".

The BJP is likely to use its brute majority to push the finance bill through the Lok Sabha as opposition protests have washed out house proceedings for seven straight days.

The Lok Sabha was scheduled to take up the Finance Bill 2018-19 and Appropriation bills for FY 2017-18 and 2018-19.

When the House reassembled at noon, the protests continued and no legislative business could be carried out.

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MPs have been demanding special financial assistance from the Centre for Andhra Pradesh, while the AIADMK MPs were protesting over distribution of Cauvery water between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Both the Houses have failed to function since the second leg of Budget Session began on March 5.

Shia LaBeouf: 'Mortifying Georgia arrest was a wake-up call'

"Mr Salim said the National Democratic Alliance government and its "estranged and potential" allies had created such a situation that discussions and debate were not taking place in Parliament on crucial issues, including price rise, farmers" distress, economic situation and allocations for the key ministries.

"All these are government-sponsored agitations that are meant to adjourn the Houses", said Congress leader in Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge referring to the issues raised by TDP and AIADMK.

Party members and YSR Congress Members sought Special Category status for Andhra Pradesh. The House was first adjourned until 2 pm, and later for the day. But opposition insisted on a discussion on banking fraud under rule 168/169 which require voting.

This, the Opposition alleged, showed the "arrogance" of the government. But Naidu said a discussion can be allowed under rule 176, which was not acceptable to the protestors.

Similar scenes were witnessed in the Rajya Sabha. "I don't agree with this.", he said before adjourning the proceedings for the day.
