"Both the parties should find an immediate solution to the problem, instead of gaining political mileage out of it", Gandhi tweeted in Hindi.

An all-party delegation will meet a Supreme Court-appointed monitoring committee to seek a solution to problems posed by an ongoing sealing drive, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said on Tuesday, while hitting out at the BJP for boycotting a meeting called on the issue by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

The sealings, being conducted under the monitor of a court-appointed committee, discontinued after 2012, when the state government proposed the Delhi Master Plan 2021, which allowed commercial establishments to run simultaneously in residential areas.

"If the Kejriwal government is committed to find a solution of sealing issue, it should immediately hold a special session of Delhi Vidhan Sabha on March 15 and pass a resolution seeking moratorium (on sealing of) all commercial constructions and unauthorized colonies existing as on 31st December, 2017 and forward it to the centre government", Tiwari said in a statement.

"It's very sad that BJP did not come for the meeting but does politics on the issue", Sisodia said. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress MPs will jointly raise this matter in Parliament.

Later in the day, Congress President Rahul Gandhi attacked both AAP and BJP over the sealing drive. All major wholesale and retail markets in Delhi will remain closed today as traders observe a "trade bandh" to protest against the sealing drive by the municipal corporations. "We should present our points in favour of traders before the committee", Sisodia said.

Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash was allegedly assaulted by AAP MLAs during a meeting at the chief minister's residence in the evening of February 19.

On March 11, the Chief Minister had written to Delhi Congress and BJP chiefs respectively, inviting them to attend the all-party meeting.

Earlier, Maken reached the CM's residence at 12 pm with former Delhi Congress chiefs Arvinder Singh and Subhash Chopra to give his suggestions on how to stop action over alleged violation of municipal norms.

"We have given a representation to the CM, and will send this to the BJP also, in which we have divided the city into six parts".

The court held the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), the state government and Centre responsible for the non-implementation of the sealing drive despite being ordered back in 2006. "Because it is not being done now, there is chaos", Maken said.
