According to early reports, the New Orleans Saints and Green Bay Packers have already emerged as the top potential landing spots for Graham.

Graham would serve a similar role in Green Bay with Aaron Rodgers in need of a more prolific option at tight end. He also made it clear that Graham will not be returning to Seattle.

The 31-year-old is expected to command a hefty payday and has already received interest from his old team the Saints, who are interested in a reunion. New GM Brian Gutekunst has signaled he will be much more active in free agency than Ted Thompson.

Green Bay missed the postseason previous year, largely because Rodgers went down with a broken collarbone, and Brett Hundley was awful.

However, the Saints will have to compete with the Packers, who went 7-9 previous year after losing star quarterback Aaron Rodgers for most of the season with a shoulder injury.

Graham would provide the Packers with a playmaking threat at tight end.

Whereas Thompson was extreme in his aversion to throwing money at veterans on the open market, Gutekunst has vowed to take an "aggressive" approach to free agency. Graham has two great teams to choose from, while other teams will likely try to work their way into consideration. The trade seemed to make little sense for both teams, and you could argue that both were worse off after it went down.
