Asus launches world's first gaming laptop with AMD Ryzen octa-core processor

Prospective buyers can pre-order the device on Flipkart now and it will be available starting March 20.

The ROG Strix GL702ZC gaming laptop comes with a 17.3-inch Full HD IPS LCD display with 178-degree viewing angles and AMD's FreeSync display technology, which keeps the display's refresh rate in sync with the graphics card, allowing you to enjoy a fluid gaming experience. The gaming beast offers great bang for the buck as it is priced at Rs. 1,34,990. It is also the first gaming laptop to be powered by AMD 8-core Ryzen 1700 processor.

Commenting on the announcement, Arnold Su, National Business Development Manager (PC and Gaming), Asus India said, "ROG Strix GL702ZC with AMD Ryzen changes the gaming hardware dynamic".

Asus Republic of Gamers has announced the launch of the Strix GL702ZC gaming laptop in India, at a price of Rs 1,34,990, exclusively on Flipkart. The Strix GL702ZC also feature the ROG Gaming Centre that will enable gamers to launch ROG applications with just one click and also access the settings menu easily.

Additional features of the laptop include four display modes, which are the Normal mode, Vivid mode, Eye Care mode and the Manual mode. It is powered by the latest AMD Ryzen 1700 octa-core processor, AMD Radeon 580 graphics unit and 16GB of DDR RAM.

The laptop also comes with array microphones that are created to filter out ambient noise so users' voice will come through loud and clear, which means that even if they are at a LAN party or in another loud environment, their voice will come through loud and clear. The laptop offers a backlit keyboard with anti-ghosting technology which makes sure that all the keystrokes are interpreted correctly. Strix GL702ZC runs on Windows 10 Home and houses a 76 Wh battery. The Radeon RX580 GPU that is integrated into this machine is capable of providing a smooth, low-latency, and stutter-free VR experience. ASUS says that this design will ensure maximum and stable cooling efficiency for the Strix GL720ZC for intense gaming marathons.
