An additional 1.6 GW of projects have secured power purchase agreements (PPAs) and are nearing financial close.

The ISA is looking at partnerships and synergies between worldwide agencies and the private sector to help mobilize $1 trillion to set up 1,000 gigawatts of solar power capacity across the world, with the intention of enhancing energy access and reducing the cost of production for solar power.

With the RET Australia aims to reach 33,000 GWh of renewable power in 2020, which, according to CER's calculations, should involve the addition of about 6 GW of large-scale renewable power capacity between 2016 and 2019. They have already identified eligible solar projects in Karnataka, Telangana, Maharashtra and Rajasthan.
