Bellator 192 takes place at The Forum in Inglewood, CA, on Saturday. He is on a two-fight winning streak after beating Wanderlei Silva at Bellator 180 in June 2017. After three rounds of action, it was Sonnen who was able to hold off Jackson to earn the unanimous decision win.

Usually, whenever the tournament format is mentioned in MMA circles, we tend to think of eight guys battling multiple opponents in a mid-90s, one-night free-for-all. He'll face the victor of April's Frank Mir vs. Fedor Emelianenko bout.

Chael Sonnen became the first fighter to advance to the semifinal round of the Bellator Heavyweight World Grand Prix tournament when he defeated Quinton Jackson in the Bellator 192 main event.

This was everything fight fans could have hoped for, and then some, as they fought to the distance.

Two of the three judges scored the fight decisively in MacDonald's favor: 48-47, 49-45 and 49-46. The new Paramount Network (formerly Spike TV) will televise the card.

Quinton Rampage Jackson has warned Chael Sonnen he is meaner than ever after cutting ketchup out of his diet ahead of their Bellator 192 showdown. But I don't think he's going to fight again.

Pico, who Bellator MMA president Scott Coker told ESPN "may be the greatest prospect in the history of MMA" past year, lived up to the hype surrounding him, registering his second consecutive first-round knockout in his third professional fight.

The 40-year-old Sonnen improved to 30-15-1.

Pico continues to rise in Bellator.

That itch to fight - and the pay - lures Sonnen even as he's worked in broadcasting and dabbled in numerous business ventures outside of the cage."I tried to retire before ..." You only got a few more fights of me left. Just 39 seconds into Round 1, Davis connected with an explosive spinning back kick to Ian Butler, before finishing him off early in the bout with punches.
