"Film and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the latest figures of Kaalakaandi and wrote, "#Kaalakaandi Fri 1.25 cr, Sat 1.20 cr, Sun 1.40 cr. This kind of number is unprecedented for a mainstream commercial star who has been working in the films for quarter of a century.

Collections of Chef ended at less than 7 crores lifetime and Kaalakaandi could only manage to bank 1.20 crore on Saturday.

Vikram Bhatt's 1921, Akshat Verma's Kaalakaandi and Anurag Kashyap's Mukkabaaz generated low collections in their first weekend.

While the film is finding it hard to grab audience's interest, Saif's performance is being praised by the critics. He is now shooting for Netflix mega production Scared Games which is a web series directed by Vikram Aditya Motwane.
