A woman's body was found in Ormond Beach on Monday and was later identified as Janice Marie Zengotita-Torres, who had been reported missing out of Osceola County, officials said. So she hired Alexis Ramos, 35, and his girlfriend, Glorianmarie Quinones Montes, 22, to kill the woman. Deputies said Montes went inside the apartment while Ramos and Rivera stayed in the vehicle with Zengotita-Torres.

Analysts trust they did in the end acknowledge they'd grabbed the wrong individual yet "proceeded with their arrangement of murder and tied the casualty with zip ties, and after that her head in channel tape and junk sacks", Gibson said.

She made a decision to hire Alexis Ramos-Rivera and his girlfriend, Glorianmarie Quinones Montes, to kill the woman, but they mistook Zengotita-Torres for their target and abducted her instead.

Investigators say the suspects continued to rob and kill Zengotita-Torres even after they realized she was the wrong target.

"The suspects showed no regard for this victim, causing her to die from suffocation because the garbage bags were wrapped around her head", Gibson said. They followed Janice Zengotita-Torres home and forced her into the back of her auto.

Investigators arrested Lopez-Ramos after she used Zengotita-Torres' ATM card, the station reported.

Gibson praised the actions of the family in securing the arrests.

Kissimmee detectives say a woman hired a couple to kill a romantic rival, and the couple killed the wrong woman.

It turns out that the victim was mistaken for the target of a murder-for-hire plot, Osceola County Sheriff Russ Gibson said.

"The heinous murder of our own citizens will not be tolerated in Osceola County", he said, according to the Sentinel.

All three of the people involved have been charged with first-degree murder.

Gibson became emotional during a news conference, choking up as he talked about the victim, who came to Kissimmee with her husband, teenage son and mother.

Lopez-Ramos was arrested early Friday, while Ramos and Quinones Montes were later arrested at an Orange County hotel, the sheriff said.
