'Explosive' planted on Sgr-Bla highway defused

Government forces on Saturday defused an improvised explosive device (IED), weighing approximately five kilogrammes, on Srinagar-Baramulla highway, a police official said. Sniffer dogs were also pressed into service.

He said after receiving inputs, CRPF, police and army men launched a cordon and search operation in HMT and its adjoining areas.

The BDS defused the IED and traffic on Srinagar-Baramulla highway has been restored now.
