The PC version is not so well respected, but the community has crafted a number of mods to improve the experience.

Nintendo only facilitated the reveal though, as the remaster will also be coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Another change happening according to this same source is that the multiplayer number will be expanded to six concurrent players, while also stylizing the first game to be more similar to that of the third installment. It appears that Nintendo Switch fans are already excited by the announcement, as they're eager to find out what Dark Souls Remastered will look like on the Switch.

Unfortunately, we're still waiting for details regarding how this game will remaster Dark Souls and how it will perform on Nintendo Switch. There have been rumors regarding the games existing pouring out since early this morning before Nintendo dropped their mini-direct. From Software has been very open about not having plans for more Dark Souls content, but this evidently doesn't apply to remasters. The game runs at 30 fps on the Nintendo Switch compared to the 60 fps on all the other platforms.

It has been confirmed, the release date will be on May 25.
