Youth should be encouraged to become 'innovators': PM Modi

Today is his 155th birth anniversary.On National Youth Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, "I bow to Swami Vivekananda on his Jayanti".

One of the greatest thinkers and philosophers the world ever witnessed, Swami Vivekananda had a short yet unforgettable glorious life journey continues to inspire us even after so many years.

National Youth Day is celebrated across India in schools and colleges and programmes like processions, speeches, recitations, music, youth conventions, seminars, sports competitions are held on this day. "It was a great decision that the Govt of India decided the Birthday of Swami is as National Youth Day".

He was a disciple of Indian mystic Ramakrishna.
