The game also features some of the new characters that Disney introduced in "The Force Awakens" and "Rogue One", like Finn, Captain Phasma, Jyn Erson and Director Krennic.

In Star Wars: Rivals, players build the ultimate combat team, compete in fast-paced PvP arenas, and confront rivals such as Han Solo and Boba Fett, Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, along with, Finn and Captain Phasma. Get a first look in the screenshots below.

There's no official release date yet, but you can register for the game on Google Play by hitting the button below.

Players will battle it out in familiar surroundings like the Death Star and Jakku. However, in order to have a solid team of heroes, you'll have to unlock them. As you advance in the Arena Leagues, you will be able to unlock increasingly rare and powerful heroes, including iconic characters like Princess Lei, Poe Dameron, and Lando Calrissian.

As the name of the game suggests, having rivals fight will earn players extra battle points. The characters all have special abilities, like Vader's choke, Admiral Ackbar's orbital strike, or Chewie's bowcaster.

Battles involve strategically dashing from cover to cover as you trade fire with your opponent.

Star Wars: Rivals is now up for pre-registration on Google Play (Android) and has been soft-launched in the Philippines App Store (iOS). For players on iOS, they will get exclusive access to Rebel Special Forces support units when the game launches. Early registration gets Android users access to Death Troopers, the elite fighters in black armor from Rogue One. The app will be available on both Android and iOS. The SpecForces are the most elite soldiers the Rebellion has to offer, fighting alongside the players in skirmishes and restoring health on the battlefield. These include Bespin, Scarif, Jakku, and Death Star.
