Chelsea Manning files for US Senate bid in Maryland
That would range her against Ben Cardin , the senior senator from Maryland who has served since 2007. A representative for Manning did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The woman who submitted the complaint alleged Lauer began behaving inappropriately while in Russian Federation covering the Winter Olympics in 2014, according to NBC. At the time, NBC said his behavior "may not have been an isolated incident".

After the news broke, several anonymous women, who were former of current NBC employees, revealed Lauer, 60, allegedly harassed or assaulted them sexually. Couric broke her silence on the Lauer allegations in a December Instagram reply, in which she told a user asking why she had not addressed the scandal in public, "It's incredibly upsetting and I will say something when I'm ready to". "Thanks for your interest".

Lauer was sacked in November when NBC received a "detailed complaint from a colleague about inappropriate sexual behavior".

Lauer apologized in a statement a day later. Because I am writing this, I still know the thickness of the disappointment and damage I have gone behind at home and in NBC.
