Winfrey confidante Gayle King said on "CBS This Morning" that the 63-year-old celebrity's past position that she was not interested in running for president remained unchanged.

On Monday, her longtime partner, Stedman Graham, told the Los Angeles Times she "would absolutely" run for president if that were the will of the people.

Actress Alyssa Milano and others quickly chimed in, pointing out that Ivanka Trump's tweet doesn't mention that her father faces accusations of sexual misconduct by several women.

It's no surprise to learn that any time spent with Winfrey is quality time.

During her speech, she recalled being inspired as a child by previous Cecil B. DeMille award victor Sidney Poitier, the first black actor to win a best actor Oscar. His tie was white and he was black, I did not see any man like him.

The media mogul's message came during a Golden Globes ceremony notable for being the first major award show since Hollywood first began addressing rampant sexual harassment against women in the entertainment industry and beyond. "I will never run for public office", she said on The Hollywood Reporter podcast in the summer of 2017.

Detective Pikachu Game Announced for Western Release

She ended her speech promising a "new day" is coming and calling out the women and men-in the room and elsewhere-who are doing the work to make sure we don't have to say "me too" anymore. Winfrey has an especially strong connection to women and non-whites and her personal fortune may go a long way toward financing a presidential campaign. Her inspirational and moving speech drew a standing ovation.

"I want all the girls watching here, now to know that a new day is on the horizon", she said. And that's why what she did say was so intriguing for the political junkies out there.

When something as big as what started to happen in October with Harvey Weinstein started to unfold I thought whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa, she said.

"It is an honor - it is an honor and it is a privilege to share the evening with all of them and also with the incredible men and women who have inspired me, who challenged me, who sustained me and made my journey to this stage possible".

First daughter Ivanka Trump appeared to support a rousing acceptance speech Oprah Winfrey gave during Sunday night's Golden Globes broadcast. Barbra Streisand also reminded viewers that no female has won a best director Golden Globe since her 1984 win.

"I learnt everything from how to make the best English muffin to how it is like to be the only woman as a board member at a huge company". I think that what Time's Up is doing with a legal defence fund is a major step.
