The David Leitch-directed sequel is moving its release from June 1st to May 18th, 2018, meaning we'll all be able to catch up with our favourite Merc with a Mouth a whole two weeks earlier than planned. The new superhero team movie "The New Mutants" is being pushed back by nearly a year. It was supposed to be out April 13 worldwide, but it will now release February 22, 2019.

The report says that the studio is trying to avoid the overlap of these mutant movies - Deadpool and New Mutants - in certain global markets. The film is now on the lookout for a new director. That was necessitated after director Gore Verbinski left the project due to scheduling issues.

The new May 18 release date for Deadpool 2 puts it a week ahead of, instead of arriving a week later.
